The Flying Rabbit is a full service NSCA registered sporting clays range located in the middle shenandoah valley between Harrisonburg and Mount Crawford Virginia.

The "Rabbit" offers a sixteen (16) station sporting clays range utilizing Chucker™ automatic traps and state of the art LongRange™ radio controlled trap release system.

The "Rabbit" has a newly designed five stand using the new LongRange™ 4300 system with four NSCA programs for the Novice, intermediate and advanced shooters. The system also allows us to throw FLUSH, targets for your enjoyment and shooting pleasure.

The “Rabbits” 5 station wobble trap has been a great success for us and with the inclusion of a Chucker™ occilating crosser (thrown as trappers choice) a great warm up game for both the avid shot gunner or the beginner shooter new to the sporting clays game.

We have recently added a patterning board with 15, 25, and 30 yard markers for testing new chokes, shells or guns, for your shooting convenience.

The "Rabbit" staffs two NSCA certified shooting instructors, John Alexander, Level III and Rick Hill, Level II we offer instruction by appointment so contact us for times and rates. From time to time we will be offering group shooting clinics and will post those times and dates as they become available. We offer the beginner or persons interested in shot gun shooting a "learn to shoot" which includes one of our certified instrutor's, a shotgun, shells and about an hour of your time to see if this sport is for you.

The “Rabbit” currently stocks both 12 gauge and 20 gauge ammunition competitively priced for your use on the range. If you bring your own maximum shot size allowed is 7 1/2, 3 dram, 1 1/8 oz. Larger loads are prohibited.

Before taking on the Flying Rabbit, John and Rick worked with various private owners and builders in the design of Sporting Clays and Five Stand shooting Ranges. We have been involved with golf course architects, landscape architects and land planners in the design and set up of courses through out North America.
